Art in Bloom - Susan Swartz in collaboration with Lamb’s Ear Floral Design

On view July 18 - August 3 and open during the Kimball Arts Festival

Inspired by the popular event “Art in Bloom” that takes place at major museums all over the country such as the New Orleans Museum of Art, Susan Swartz Studios and Lamb’s Ear Floral Design are collaborating to bring fresh curated bouquets into the gallery.

Lamb’s Ear will create floral interpretations of Susan’s paintings, bringing midsummer blooms and sweet scents into the gallery. With the current exhibition titled Florescence, this event aligns perfectly with Susan’s most recent work, motifs, and her continued inspiration from the natural world.

Lamb’s Ear is a Park City based floral design company that specializes in bouquets for weddings, events, and interiors. Head florist Hayden Hull is an A.S.F.D (American School of Flower Design) certified floral designer with a background in fine art. Her arrangements will be refreshed periodically, concluding during the Kimball Arts Fest.

Be sure to stop by Susan Swartz Studios more than once to see all of the artistic interpretations.

Hayden Williams is a floral designer whose work lives at the intersection of botanical artistry and fine art. With a trained eye for color, texture, and composition, Hayden creates floral arrangements that don’t just accompany paintings—they speak to them, echo them, and sometimes challenge them.

Whether drawing from the bold gestures of abstract expressionism or the delicate layers of impressionist works, Hayden’s floral creations are immersive, emotional extensions of the canvas. Each arrangement is thoughtfully designed to reflect or respond to the palette, rhythm, and mood of the artwork it accompanies, transforming both the flowers and the painting into something new when seen together.

Hayden works with seasonal, locally-sourced blooms, allowing nature’s own rhythms to inform the shape and tone of each piece. Their floral installations have been described as “living brushstrokes”—ephemeral yet deeply intentional, inviting viewers into a fleeting, fragrant dialogue between plant and pigment.

Hayden collaborates with galleries, artists, and curators to bring fresh perspective to exhibitions, private collections, and events. Whether as a floral response to a single painting or as a full-scale floral curation of a gallery space, Hayden’s work brings an organic intimacy to the visual arts, reawakening our sense of connection to both nature and creative expression.

Florescence is a celebration of nature’s vivid awakening—an exhibition where color, texture, and organic form bloom in unison. Featuring a collection of floral-inspired paintings in bright, springtime hues, this body of work invites viewers into a sensory experience of growth and renewal. Rich with layered textures and sculptural dimension, many pieces incorporate dried flowers, leaves, seeds, and other natural elements embedded onto the canvas. The result is a dynamic fusion of painting and assemblage—where nature is not only depicted but physically present.
