Susan Swartz Studios is a gallery space located at the top of Historic Main Street in downtown Park City, UT. Established in 2016, this 3,000 square foot space showcases artwork exclusively by Susan Swartz, featuring available original works and other limited-edition pieces. Additionally, Susan Swartz Studios hosts select public events that enrich the local and global community.
With a studio workspace in Park City and Martha’s Vineyard, Susan Swartz explores the natural world through potent colors and richly layered abstract paintings. She is inspired by the intersection of art, nature, and spirituality. For over a decade, Swartz battled two environmentally born illnesses and now paints with an impassioned reverence for the Earth. Swartz’s distinct style has been recognized with international exhibitions in the United Kingdom, Italy, Berlin, China, Russia, Hungary, Austria, and Germany; as well as nationally in New York City, Miami, New Orleans, Washington DC, California, and Utah. Her work is part of major public and private collections throughout the world.
Job Description:
Susan Swartz Studios is seeking an experienced, dynamic member to add to their sales team. This individual is self-motivated, personable, and poised, ready to exercise their strong sales-oriented skillset. The ideal candidate will demonstrate success in creating meaningful and memorable experiences for our client base and walk-in visitors. With an outgoing demeanor, they will have an aptitude for communicating with existing and prospective clients. The individual will be well-versed in managing client records through our digital database, executing a sale from proposal to transaction, and building rapport with in-person and online audiences.
While hiring someone with dedicated sales focus is a top priority, the role will also require a broad variety of skills used to complete administrative tasks, marketing, and design work in preparation for successful exhibitions, events, and inventory keeping. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays when needed.
Who we are looking for:
Required
1-2 years sales experience
Bachelor's Degree
Outgoing, engaging demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
Comfortable navigating online platforms for research, daily tasks, and social media
Ability to learn design programs with proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud
Strong writing and editorial skills for drafting articles, press releases, artwork descriptions, and other documents
Attention to detail with an eye for accuracy and excellence
A desire to continuously learn and grow with a high level of initiative and independence
Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends, holidays, and special events when needed
Must be able to work in-person at our Park City, UT location
Preference Toward
Advanced customer service experience
Some knowledge of contemporary art
Marketing experience
