Susan Swartz Studios was once again pleased to host the Utah Symphony’s annual Haitian Fundraiser. For many years, musicians from the Utah Symphony use their vacation time to travel to Haiti, volunteering to teach and mentor musicians in the Haitian Orchestra Institute. A week of intensive instruction culminates in a final concert featuring every participant performing in either a string quartet or woodwind quintet. Local leaders, the general public, and students in Haiti enjoy the accomplishments of the musician outreach project. Susan Swartz Studios delights in offering a way for our community to gather and support the Utah Symphony as they continue to send their musicians to Haiti for this important collaboration.
