Rhapsody Installation

To coincide with the 2023 Art Miami curation, this exhibition highlighted the titular Rhapsody series as well as Rhythm of Nature, Evolution of Nature, and Nature's Bouquet. Capturing the energy of artists Wassily Kandinsky and Georgia O’Keefe who are known for their masterpieces derived from the musical experience, in Rhapsody Susan Swartz presented us with visual compositions inspired by the atmosphere and structure of classical music, resulting in Susan Swartz Studios’ most melodic exhibition to date. Pieces from the Rhapsody series captured attention with a vivid, reductive palette and robust paint strokes. This exhibition also featured work from Swartz’s earlier music-inspired series, Landscape of Resonances.
Swartz’s work maintains an undetachable connection to nature. Her paintings are a reminder that like music, nature transcends logic and surpasses the human need for explanation, instead reaching our souls through the senses.
