From 2014 to 2021, Susan Swartz’s solo exhibition Personal Path toured in museums and galleries throughout Europe and Asia. Returned to Park City, Utah, the long-abroad works were exhibited at Susan Swartz Studios for the first time in the summer exhibition Arrival.

Like Personal Path, this exhibition voiced the story of Swartz’s experiences and impressions spanning several years– being present in nature, falling ill due to it, and recovering through the use of it. The featured series, Breaking Away and Evolution of Nature especially, were an emphatic testament to Swartz’s adaptation to a changing life and artistic practice. Pushing the boundaries of her medium, Swartz demonstrates in these pieces her ability to materialize her vision purely through abstract, sculptural elements.
