During the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, Susan Swartz Studios had the honor of hosting the world premiere party for Marlee Matlin: Not Alone Anymore, directed by Shoshanna Stern. An inspiring narrative of the first deaf actor to win an Academy Award, Marlee Matlin: Not Alone Anymore recounts Matlin’s journey of navigating her career in the film industry and advocating for inclusion.

The Oscar Nominations also occurred during the festival, and we were thrilled to celebrate the nomination of Sugarcane, for which the premiere party was held at Susan Swartz Studios in 2024. Sugarcane won Directing Award: U.S. Documentary, and went on to receive many other prestigious awards for its impactful storytelling.
